Popular Nigerian comedian and actor, Bovi Ugboma, has hailed Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Davido and billionaire businessman, Obi Cubana, for shutting down the internet with their events.
According to the comedian on Friday, Davido shut down the internet by having the biggest wedding ever, while Obi Cubana had the biggest burial ever.
News About Nigeria recalls that the internet went agog on Tuesday following the wedding of Davido and his longtime sweetheart, Chioma Rowland.
The couple has since become the talk of the town as they shut down not just Lagos, where their wedding was held, but also all social media platforms, which were flooded with pictures and videos from their big day.
The wedding had in attendance celebrities from the entertainment industry, dignitaries, public figures, and important personalities from different sectors of the economy.
From governors to monarchs, senators, billionaires, politicians, and celebrities, all were present at the occasion, making it a memorable one. The wedding would unarguably go down in history as one of the most talked-about weddings in Africa.
Similarly, Obi Cubana shut down the internet and Anambra State in 2021 when he buried his mother in grand style.
The burial, which was held in Oba, Anambra State, had business executives, pop stars like Davido, Dbanj, KCee, E-Money, Poco Lee, and Ubi Franklin and actors like Kanayo Kanayo, Alex Ekubo, and Williams Uchemba, among others, in attendance.
The high point of it all was when the businessman received 246 cows from his friends who graced the event.
Following the standard set by the two, Bovi, while sharing their photos together at Davido’s wedding ceremony on Instagram, wrote, “Toughest wedding X toughest funeral. Things we do for love.”
