Nigerian Afrobeats singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has opened up about how he met his beautiful wife, Chioma Rowland.
Speaking in a now-viral video where he was exchanging pleasantries with his best man, Lateef Biola, popularly known as Lati BMW, Davido revealed that he got to know Chioma through Lati.
According to the “Assurance” crooner, Lati BMW was the one who introduced him to his beautiful wife.
Speaking in pidgin, Davido said, “You know say na him introduce me to my wife?”
News About Nigeria reports that Lati and Davido’s friendship goes way back, as it did not start today.
Prior to now, Lati revealed that he started working at the Adeleke household at a very young age and met Davido there.
Their friendship started when Davido was ten years old and Lati was thirteen.
Lati, who is currently tasked with A&R (artists and repertoire) for Davido’s record label (DMW), also runs his own company, Latino General Merchants Nigeria Limited, an oil and gas company in Lagos.
He is also Davido’s personal assistant and one of his trusted advisors. He travels with him around the world and has attended many of the singer’s concerts and performances.
Davido also honoured Lati by, not just making him his best man but also fixing the wedding for today (Tuesday, June 25, 2024), which is his birthday.
Davido and Chioma’s wedding has been the talk of the town, as it is one wedding that many Nigerians are excited about and have been following on social media.
