Shan George Cries Out For Help As She N3.6m Disappears From Her Account

Popular Nollywood actress Shan George has fallen victim to a scam, losing her life savings of N3.6 million in what appears to be a fraudulent transaction.

The incident came to light on Friday, May 4, when Shan George discovered that the huge amount had been mysteriously withdrawn from her Zenith Bank account and transferred to an Opay account belonging to one Cecilia Chisgoziem Okoro.

Distressed by the unexpected loss, Shan George took to her Instagram page to seek assistance from her followers and other media personalities.

In a heartfelt plea, she shared screenshots of the transaction details as evidence of the fraudulent activity, expressing her desperation for help.

In her initial post, the actress wrote, “I need help cos I’m dying. This person has just cleared my account. Pls my people, everyone pls help. Pls Zenith Bank, Reverse it. I can’t access my app. I’m dead Oga Jim Ovia.”

Accompanying the message was a screenshot revealing the depletion of her account balance due to the unauthorized withdrawal.

Elaborating on the situation in a subsequent video post, Shan George said that the situation has left her in a financial mess.

She tagged both Zenith Bank and Opay in her plea for assistance.

She specifically called for the reversal of the fraudulent transaction and urged Opay to refund her money, identifying the recipient of the funds as Cecilia Chisgoziem Okoro.

“I’m left koboless right now, wetin I go eat wit my children . @zenithbankplc @opay.ng please help me, my account at zenith has been wipped clean just now, paid into Opay. Pls help me reverse it. Opay customer’s name Cecilia Chiagoziem Okoro.Pls refund my money.”
