Student Bullied At Lead British International School Files Civil Suit Against School Management

The student of the Lead British International School who was captured in the now-viral video for bullying her fellow student has apologised to the student she bullied.

Her apology is contained in a video on social media where she expressed her “sincere apologies” to the student and Nigerians as a whole, adding that she wished she never did it.

The student further pleaded with Nigerians to forgive her because she did not know what came over her.

News About Nigeria reported that the video of the girl bullying her colleague with one other female student went viral on Tuesday after it was shared on social media.

In the video, which sparked so many reactions among Nigerians, the student was seen slapping her colleague several times while the girl being bullied could not do anything.

Speaking in her apology video, the student said, “I am very sorry for what I did to Namtira. I am also apologising to you all out there. I am sincerely sorry. I wish it never happened.”

Reacting to the issue, the school’s management revealed that an investigation is ongoing into the incident.

A statement signed by the Head of School, Abraham Ogunkanmbi, revealed that the school has set up an investigation panel that is currently gathering information on the matter.

He explained that they are reviewing video footage and interviewing eyewitnesses in order to ascertain the root cause of the incident.

He added that the school has also invited the families of both the perpetrator and the victim to offer them counselling and disciplinary measures as appropriate.
