Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, the National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), has declared that no amount of purported suspension or sponsored impostors can detract him from his mission to make the APC the preferred choice for voters across the country, News About Nigeria reports.
Speaking on Tuesday at the APC National Secretariat, Ganduje likened his alleged suspension to the popular entertainment channel, Africa Magic.
He said that he is undeterred by the purported suspension orchestrated by the Governor Abba Yusuf-led administration in Kano State.
“The government in Kano State is behind this drama. Even the drama is one kind of drama that is called Africa Magic. This is Africa Magic and it is not leading democracy anywhere.
“It is a negative innovation where members who belong to a different political party, not even our members, let alone being elected executive members of either the ward or to the highest level at the state, meet themselves and take resolutions that affect the nation as far as our party is concerned, that is not acceptable.”
Addressing members of the Forum of APC State Chairman during a solidarity visit, Ganduje said he was surprised upon hearing news of his supposed suspension.
However, he attributed the move to political manoeuvring aimed at undermining the APC’s growing influence, particularly in Kano State.
Speaking on the party’s resilience, Ganduje said, “Our party cannot be distracted… Our attention cannot be diverted. We are focused.”
He reiterated the APC’s unwavering commitment to its objectives and vowed to press forward undaunted by external interference.
Members of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the APC expressed their solid backing for Ganduje, with the National Vice Chairman (South-South), Hon. Victor Giadem, offering a vote of confidence in the embattled National Chairman.
