The General Overseer of Christ Mercy Land Church, Prophet Jeremiah Fufeyin, has contributed N10 million to the family of the deceased sound engineer, Precious Ofurum, who was part of the three crew members who died alongside Nollywood actor Junior Pope.
The actor and the three other crew members met with their untimely deaths when their boat capsized at the Anam River in Anambra State on their way back from Adanma Luke’s ‘Another Side of Life,’ movie shoot.
They were said to have travelled on the water without life jackets or any other life-saving instrument.
The billionaire pastor who disclosed his donation to the family of the late Precious today is known for his philanthropy and good works.
News About Nigeria reports that since the ill-fated boat crashed, leading to their deaths, the deceased family has been getting donations from different kind-hearted Nigerians.
Similarly to Precious, popular businessman E-Money has also vowed to cater to the education of the children of Junior Pope.
According to E-Money, since it was the last wish of Junior Pope that he raise his children, as he said in the last video he posted on Instagram, he is going to ensure that the actor’s dream comes true.
Also, the Governor of Akwa-Ibom State, Pastor Umo Eno, promised to assist the two undergraduate siblings of Abigail Frederick, the make-up artist who also died in the boat mishap.
The governor, who also directed that the family house of the deceased makeup artist be renovated, offered automatic employment to her elder sister in the state civil service.
