Pastor Paul Enenche of the Dunamis International Gospel Centre (DIGC) has come under backlash for saying that the testimony of his church member is a lie, News About Nigeria reports.
A member of his church, identified as Anyim Vera, recounted during her testimony in church how she successfully graduated from law school as the first graduate in her family, despite all odds.
She stated that she had graduated with a ‘BSC’ in law, which led to the pastor tagging her as a liar, maintaining that the right title for a law graduate is LLB.
He further warned against giving fake testimonies in the church, noting that it would not be tolerated.
Investigations, however, revealed that Vera graduated with an LLB degree from the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), sparking reactions from netizens.
Some social media users demanded that Pastor Paul tender a public apology to the lady.
One user @Kwaptoep said, “Sir, What you did to that woman is totally wrong……. If God should call you out like that for wrong doings none of your members will see you as a spiritual man again. Please Sir, you need to write an apology letter to that woman – to be published on all our national dailies.”
@Stfeezzy said, “You have now to on Sunday to apologise to that lady publicly and publish same in a national daily. We are coming for NOUN soon, we must question the standard of that school too.”
