Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has said his administration is dedicated to safeguarding the interests of the Rivers people, particularly the youth, as they represent the future of the state.

News About Nigeria reports that Fubara made this declaration during a solidarity visit by the youths of Emohua Local Government Area, under the auspices of “Emohua Youths For SIM”, to the Government House in Port Harcourt.

The governor stated that all policies and programmes of his administration are tailored towards the development and empowerment of the youth.

In a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Nelson Chukwudi, Governor Fubara mentioned the various initiatives and projects implemented by his administration aimed at improving the livelihoods and well-being of the citizens of Rivers State, including the youths of Emohua.

Among the initiatives mentioned by the governor were the recently awarded Elele-Omudiaga-Egbeda-Ubimini-Ikiri-Omoku Road, the ongoing Emohua-Kalabari Road project, the reinstatement of illegally sacked workers in Emohua Local Government Area, and the approval for the electrification of the area.

Fubara stressed that these deliberate measures were aimed at opening up the area for development and making life more conducive and meaningful for the people.

Governor Fubara stated that the development of infrastructure and provision of essential amenities in Emohua and other parts of Rivers State would create opportunities for economic growth and prosperity, particularly for the youth.

He assured that upon completion, these projects would benefit the youth by enhancing their access to markets, promoting agricultural productivity, and providing opportunities for entrepreneurship and wealth creation.

Addressing the gathering, spokesman for the Emohua Youths for SIM, Ovamale O. Ovamale, expressed gratitude to Governor Fubara for his administration’s efforts in addressing the developmental needs of Emohua Local Government Area.

He specifically lauded the governor for the award of the Elele-Omudiaga-Egbeda-Ubimini-Ikiri-Omoku road, the approval for electrification, and the reinstatement of sacked workers.
