Actor Jerry Amilo Explains Why He Posted Junior Pope's Corpse On Social Media

A few hours after deleting the video of the corpse of Junior Pope that he shared on social media, popular Nigerian actor Jerry Amilo opened up about why he shared the video.

News About Nigeria reported that the actor brought down the video following the reactions it sparked among his colleagues and netizens who berated him for sharing such sensitive content about the late Pope that should have been left private.

They had also accused the actor of chasing clout with the video, adding that he posted it to generate income from it since his Facebook page was monetized.

The video that he shared showed the deceased lying lifeless with cotton wool in his nose.

Jerry Amilo had also watermarked the video before sharing it on his official Facebook page.

However, contrary to accusations that he shared the video to chase clout, Jerry Amilo explained that he shared it to clear the air and to reveal to everyone that Pope was truly dead.

This, according to him, is because many of his fans and followers have been calling and messaging him to confirm whether the actor was alive or not.

So, he made the video and posted it on social media to clarify to everyone about the late actor’s status.

He further noted that his intention was never to chase clout, as he would never do such an inhumane thing against his younger colleague, who died a painful death.

The actor also prayed for the repose of the soul of the dead, adding that God should give his family the fortitude to bear the loss.
