Iseyin Monarch Intervenes In Feud Between KWAM 1, Lead Drummer

The Aseyin of Iseyin, Oba Sefiu Oyebola Ajirotutu Adeyeri III, has intervened in the feud between ace Fuji musician King Wasiu Ayinde Marshall (KWAM 1) and his estranged lead drummer, Ayankunle Ayanlowo, urging both parties to pursue reconciliation, News About Nigeria reports.

The intervention comes after Ayankunle accused KWAM 1 of neglecting the welfare of his band members, a claim that was denied by the Fuji maestro.

Addressing journalists at his palace in Iseyin, Oyo State, the Aseyin of Iseyin stressed the strong connections that both KWAM 1 and Ayankunle Ayanlowo have with the community.

He called for peace and harmony, considering the importance of the people involved.

“One being an in-law while the other is a son of Ado-Awaye, a community under the local government. So, I have no choice but to wade into the crisis and seek a peaceful settlement,” Oba Oyebola said.

He also advised both sides to embrace communication in order to reach an agreement rather than getting into a public dispute.

The monarch mentioned that he had initiated efforts to reach out to KWAM 1 to facilitate a peaceful reconciliation process.

“I have read and listened to many angles to the issue from individuals taking sides, but as a monarch, I will want peace and not for this to continue,” Oba Oyebola said.

In his response, Ayankunle confirmed that the Aseyin of Iseyin had advised him to desist from making confrontational videos or interviews.

Expressing gratitude to his supporters, Ayankunle prayed for their continued well-being and vowed to abide by the monarch’s counsel.

“They said I should not attack anyone anymore through social media or live interviews, and I have agreed with the monarch. I just want to start by appreciating those who stood with me during my travail till now,” Ayankunle stated.
