The National Agency for the Control of AIDS (NACA) has vowed to continue in the fight against HIV/AIDS and work tirelessly to minimise its spread in the country, News About Nigeria reports.
The agency committed to its Easter message, which was made available to journalists in Abuja.
The Director-General, Dr. Temitope Ilori, noted that the agency is committed to combating HIV/AIDS and promoting the well-being of all Nigerians and will not relent in doing so.
He also noted that the values of the Easter period—compassion, unity, and resilience—resonate deeply with NACA’s mission to combat HIV/AIDS, adding that Easter is a time of reflection, renewal, and hope which symbolises the triumph of light over darkness and of love over despair.
According to him, the spirit of Easter inspires the agency to stand together and be committed to overcoming obstacles in their way, while building a brighter future for all Nigerians.
“As we commemorate this significant occasion, we are reminded of the values of compassion, unity, and resilience – values that resonate deeply with NACA’s mission to combat HIV/AIDS and promote the well-being of all Nigerians.
“In confronting the challenges posed by the HIV epidemic, the spirit of Easter inspires us to stand together, resolute in our commitment to overcoming obstacles and building a brighter future for all Nigerians.
“May this season bring comfort and strength to all those affected by HIV/AIDS, and may our collective efforts continue to bring hope and progress in our fight against the epidemic,” she stated.
