Influencer Enioluwa has advocated for safe social media usage following a false association with a leaked sex tape that surfaced on various social media platforms.
The incident unfolded when Enioluwa found himself at the centre of controversy after a photo from a leaked sex tape went viral on X (formerly Twitter).
The image, initially shared by ghost blogger Gistlover on their Telegram page, showed a man engaged in an intimate act with another man.
The man in the video bore a striking resemblance to Enioluwa, causing widespread speculation on social media.
However, further investigation revealed that the person in the video was actually a black porn actor known as Bricks, not Enioluwa.
News About Nigeria reported that Bricks later came forward to clarify his identity and debunk the false association with Enioluwa.
In response to the incident, Enioluwa took to his Instagram page to advocate for safe social media usage.
He stressed the importance of responsible online behaviour, adding that words and opinions shared on social media can impact people’s lives.
“There is no denying that social media has been integrated into our daily lives. It is, therefore, important that we encourage a safer social media, not just for ourselves but for our loved ones and children as well. The things that we say and our opinions online can change the life of a person forever.
“Though we might be under faceless accounts or behind keyboards, these people that we speak about have faces. They have feelings, emotions, and loved ones. What we say matters.
“Like you, I might have said some things that I shouldn’t have said in the past. But that’s okay. As long as you take a stand now to make social media safer, not just for yourself but for us all. Do this for me, do this for you, and do this for your loved ones.”
