Governor Uba Sani has convened an emergency security meeting with stakeholders to discuss tactics targeted at minimising the activities of terrorists who have escalated their attacks in Kaduna State, News About Nigeria reports.

The meeting was attended by stakeholders from Birnin Gwari, Chikun, Giwa, Igabi, Kachia, and Kagarko local government areas (LGAs), including monarchs.

During the meeting, Governor Uba Sani said that Kaduna’s security situation is extraordinary and requires sacrifice and cooperation among all stakeholders.

According to him, it is important to assess intelligence-gathering and share efforts to take decisive steps towards degrading the terrorists responsible for destroying lives and livelihoods.

He said it is important to evaluate intelligence-gathering and sharing initiatives in order to take swift action to weaken the terrorists who are destroying lives and livelihoods.

Finding local informants and handling them decisively was one of the meeting’s main objectives.

According to Governor Uba Sani, chairmen of local governments, religious leaders, traditional rulers, and other stakeholders have a role to play in helping security forces obtain intelligence.

Addressing the participants, Governor Uba Sani reiterated the need for all hands to be on deck in rooting out the bad elements within communities.

“Since the Kuriga school children abduction, I have been working round the clock, and pulling out all the stops, across all layers of government and security architecture, to ensure their safe return and crucially to see that this terrible menace is contained.

“I am in constant touch with parents of the abducted children and leaders of the Kuriga community. They are in high spirits, confident that our efforts will be successful,” the governor revealed.
