Big Brother Naija reality star Queen Mercy Atang has shared exciting news with her fans as she announced her engagement to her long-term partner, David.
Taking to her Instagram account on Thursday, February 29, 2024, Queen expressed her gratitude for reaching this milestone in her life.
She posted pictures from the engagement, flaunting her newly acquired ring as she and her fiancé stood beside a ‘will-you-marry-me’ sign.
In her Instagram caption, Queen reflected on her journey, stating, “God acted according to his timing. I’ve consistently prayed for guidance in building a loving family, fulfilling roles as a wife, mother, and follower of his teachings. His response came in due time.”
She also shared heartfelt words to her fiancé, expressing her thanks for his love and care.
“To my dear husband-to-be @iam_kingdaivid I thank you deeply for choosing me, for loving me, and for embracing my family as your own. Your presence has brought immense joy into my life. May God bless you abundantly. I promise to continually pray for blessings upon your life. I love you dearly,” she wrote.
In response, her fiancé expressed his love, commenting, “Thank you for choosing to walk this path with me… I adore you forever ❤❤❤️❤️❤️”

Fans and fellow reality TV stars flooded Queen’s comment section with congratulatory messages.
Pere, a fellow ex-housemate from Big Brother Naija, commented, “Queeeeeeeeeeennnnnn. Nice. Congrats,” and Saskay offered her best wishes, saying,””Awwww, Your home is blessed love.”
However, Nigerian skitmaker Lord Lamba confirmed the long-standing rumour of welcoming a baby with the reality star.
News About Nigeria reported that Queen made headlines in 2022 after the birth of her child, with speculation linking Lord Lamba as the baby’s father.
Although neither Atang nor Lord Lamba confirmed their romantic relationship at the time, Lord Lamba shared photos of himself with the child on Instagram, shortly after the reality star announced her engagement.
HE captioned it, “PRINCESS KEILAH KELVIN ANAGBOGU ❤️ ADA NNEWI.”
This marks the first public acknowledgment of their connection as co-parents.
