APC Victory More Important Than Titles, Says Keyamo

The Federal Government (FG) has stated that it will work hard to boost the services for passengers at airports in the country, News About Nigeria reports.

The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, disclosed this at the commissioning of the Sami-Court Airport hotel, a hospitality project at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.

He noted that the Ministry of Aviation has been working hard to attract the partnership and collaboration of the private sector to boost infrastructure in the nation’s airports.

Kayemo also noted that his ministry will ensure that there is a maximum and premium passenger experience at the various airports in the country, maintaining that he has to ensure the safety and comfort of passengers.

He stated that the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) is one of the new innovations the ministry is bringing on board to improve the sector, maintaining that it will enhance the aviation and hospitality sectors.

The minister further stressed his readiness to partner with the private sector to improve infrastructure in the nation’s airports.

Also speaking, the Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Olubunmi Kuku, noted that the organisation would continue to change its business models to improve the experiences of passengers in the airport.

Kuku said the minister had given FAAN a mandate to improve passengers’ experiences at airports.

She further described the commission of the Sami-Court hotel at the Abuja airport as a remarkable event.

Mr. Jibrin Otunba, the Executive Director of MRS Holdings Limited, said the hotel was created at the airport to advance passengers’ pleasure and comfort.
