The internet went agog on Thursday after Nigerian music star Oluwatobiloba Daniel Anidugbe, popularly known as Kizz Daniel unveiled the remix of his popular single, ‘Twe Twe’, featuring Davido.
News About Nigeria learned that ‘Twe Twe’ has spent several weeks as the number-one song on the TurnTable Top 100 since it was released on December 12, 2023.
‘Twe Twe’ also rose to become the most streamed song on the summit of the radio chart and YouTube for several weeks.
In a post shared on their different social media platforms, Davido and Kizz Daniel urged their fans to anticipate the release of the remix as they shared a short clip of Davido singing some part of his verse in the song.
Speaking on the remix, the Chief Executive Officer of Artmatazz Media, a media company for Kizz Daniel, Christian Agadibe, said, “the remix not only looks to reintroduce the beloved ‘Twe Twe’ but also infuses it with the dynamic energy and distinct styles of both artists.”
He further noted that the combination of the Afrobeat stars produced a fresh and exciting musical experience that resonated with a diverse audience.
Agadibe further revealed that the video of the remix, which was directed by popular visionary Nigerian director TG Omori, is also ready for release.
He further noted that, as they anticipate that the ‘Twe Twe’ remix will make waves, the video will also help amplify its impact and leave a lasting impression on audiences across the globe.
Davido and Kizz Daniel’s first time doing a song together was in 2014, when Kizz Daniel featured Davido and Tiwa Savage in the remix of his hit song, ‘Woju’.
Also, the duo made magic in 2018, when Kizz Daniel featured Davido in his song, ‘One Ticket.’
