Atiku's Aide Replies Makinde, Says He Sympathised With Oyo Over Ibadan Explosion

The Deputy Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ibrahim Abdullahi, has backed the call made by Atiku Abubakar for a coalition of opposition parties against the APC in 2027, News About Nigeria reports.

Abdullahi stated this while speaking with newsmen, maintaining that only a merger can rescue Nigerians from the suffering the Tinubu-led administration has subjected them to.

Abdullahi, who noted that the call for coalition had been made by the party’s vice presidential candidate in the 2023 general elections, Atiku Abubakar, stated that the coalition was in a bid to protect the future of Nigeria and Nigerians and give them real hope.

According to him, Nigerians will only see a better result when all opposition parties come together in a merger, adding that without a merger, it will be difficult to defeat the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the next general elections.

Abdullahi further noted that other political parties are not as strong as the PDP and therefore cannot defeat and dislodge the APC on their own.

He maintained that it would be very difficult to attain the objective of taking charge of the government and sacking what he described as the army of occupation that has decided to inflict maximum penury and anguish on Nigerians without a merger.

Recall that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar made a merger proposition while hosting the National Executive Committee of the Inter-Party Advisory Council of Nigeria.

He noted that if APC is not stopped, the democracy of the nation will suffer for it.
