The wife of President Bola Tinubu, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, together with the wife of Vice President, Nana Shettima, led other women to visit ailing veteran Nollywood actor, Zack Orji, at the National Hospital, Abuja.
News About Nigeria learned that the First Lady was at the hospital to celebrate the first baby of the year, so she also used the opportunity to spend some time with the Nollywood star.
Others present at the hospital visit with the President’s wife are the Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Uju Kennedy-Ohanenye; the wife of the Minister for Works, Mrs. Rachael Umahi; and the wife of the Minister of State for Defence, Mrs. Bello Matawalle, among others.
According to reports, the Nollywood actor, who was rushed to the hospital over the weekend after he slumped in his toilet, is responding to treatment as his health has improved.
Giving details on his recovery, the National Hospital Public Relations Officer (PRO), Tayo Hastrup said, “He has started talking. He is in stable condition. His wife is by his side. We really thank God for him.”
It can be recalled that Zack Orji was reportedly rushed to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the National Hospital on December 30, 2023, for treatment after he slumped.
According to a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Joe Igbokwe, who revealed the actor’s condition in a post on his Facebook page, Orji couldn’t walk or talk.
In the post, he also called for prayers for the actor and film maker.
