Bauchi Governor Vows To End Insecurity

The governor of Bauchi State, Governor Bala Mohammed, has reiterated his commitment to ensure that insecurity is brought to an end in the state, News About Nigeria reports.

The governor made this known while receiving heads of security agencies in his office on Thursday.

He noted that the security of the lives and properties of his people remains a top priority in his administration, adding that he will leave no stone unturned in his unwavering commitment to ensure that Bauchi State is secure for the people to enjoy social, economic and political growth.

He stated that insecurity in various parts of the country was becoming alarming, pledging that it would not be so in his state and under his watch.

He therefore warned bandits and other criminals planning to carry out attacks in the state to give up and surrender to the security agencies before it becomes too late, maintaining that his government would fish them out from their hiding places as there is no safe haven for any criminal element within the geographical enclave of Bauchi State.

The governor, while commending the cooperation and camaraderie that existed among different sister security outfits in the state, stated that it cannot be overemphasised and is a required attribute if insecurity will be defeated in the state.

He therefore assured all the security apparatus in the state that he would continue to provide them with the necessary support required to secure the lives and property of the citizens of the state.

He, however, noted that the relative peace the state is currently enjoying is a result of the sustained strategic efforts of security agencies, which are being recognised nationally and internationally.
