Julius Abure Arrested On Attempted Murder Allegations

The Labour Party (LP) has faulted the leadership in Nigeria, stating that it remains the reason Nigeria is not moving forward, News About Nigeria reports.

The leadership of the party made this assertion on Sunday in a Christmas message issued in Abuja by the party’s National Chairman, Julius Abure, in preparation for the Christmas celebrations on Monday.

According to Abure, the bad leadership in the country was robbing the country of its potential to be a heaven on earth despite its abundant resources.

He noted that Nigeria has consistently ranked as one of the poorest nations in the world and that it was embarrassing and disconcerting to see Nigerians celebrate Christmas 2023 on an empty stomach due to bad leadership.

He also faulted the move of the Federal Government to slash the interstate transportation fare by 50%, stating that it was a weak policy and a mockery to the country with a population of about N200 million.

He noted that the federal government had only captured about five transport companies in its bid to reduce the cost of transportation for N200 million citizens, adding that the government had excluded a particular Christian-dominated zone in its plan for the railway service.

According to him, the beneficiaries of this social scheme will be less than 0.05 percent of Nigerians.

Abure also questioned what would happen after the Yuletide season, stating that he is doubtful the government will continue with the subsidised transport scheme.

He, however, wished Nigerians a happy celebration while pleading with them to keep fate alive because a new Nigeria is not just possible but is already on the horizon.
