Man Apprehended For Threatening To Kill Colleague With Shrine

A 31-year-old businessman, identified as Anaka Onyedika, has been apprehended by operatives of the Lagos State Police Command and brought before the court for threatening to kill his colleague with the dreaded Anambra Okija Shrine.

News About Nigeria gathered that the case, which was taken to the Magistrate’s Court 5, Ogba, Lagos, was heard by Magistrate Owolabi L. A.

The Police Prosecutor, Supol Josephine, in a four-count charge presented before the honourable court, stated that the suspect, Anaka Onyedika, conspired with others to commit felony to wit: written threat to life, cyberstalking, among others, on the 13th of December 2023, at Oworonshoki, Lagos Magisterial District, committing an offence that, according to the court, is punishable under Section 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

The charge against the suspect also stated that the suspect had, on the same date and time and place, deliberately sent a threatening message to one Patrick Ogbonna, stating that he was going to use both day and night to pursue him, committing an offence punishable under Section 232 of the Criminal Code of Lagos State, 2015.

The court also noted that the suspect, Anaka Onyedika, on the same date, time and place, in the aforementioned Magisterial District, knowingly sent a threatening message to Mr. Patrick Ogbonna, saying that his cup was full and that whatever Mr. Patrick sees, he will take.

The court noted that this offence was punishable under Section 232 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015.

The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to all charges and was remanded to Kirikiri prison, pending when he fulfils the bail condition of N300,000.
