Nasarawa Governor Cautions Appointees Against Disloyalty

Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule has cautioned his appointees against being disloyal to his government, stating that if such a person is found, consequences will abound, News About Nigeria reports.

The governor made this known while speaking at an interface with his appointees at the Government House, Lafia, on Friday, adding that those with questionable intentions have no business being in government, especially his administration.

Governor Sule had earlier cautioned appointees during his campaign ahead of the 2023 elections who, he noted, were loyal to some people in the state.

He noted that he would not be happy to sack any of his appointees, stating that that was his reason for asking the disloyal appointees to either change their ways to be loyal to the government or quit the government before he carried out any action against them.

He also added that he respected them and would ensure that he was fair in his dealings and would not sack anyone without prior warning.

The governor further stated that a reasonable and honourable person will decline to work with a government if they are not loyal to that government.

“If you don’t think your loyalty is to the government, please be a human being and resign,” he said.

He stated that he was not oblivious to the gang up against him during the governorship election, noting that although he tried to tolerate the glaring betrayal during the election and post-election crises, the situation persisted.

He therefore warned against such acts, maintaining that anyone found to have their loyalty somewhere else would not work with his administration.
