Panic As Nine-Year-Old Goes Missing In Lagos

The family of one Olasunkanmi Adeyemi has been thrown into a state of grief and panic as their nine-year-old son, identified as Emmanuel Adeyemi goes missing in Lagos, News About Nigeria reports.

The father, Mr. Adeyemi, in an interview with Punch, said that his son has been missing since November 19.

Narrating the painful ordeal, Adeyemi revealed that his son had gone missing while they were on an evangelical outreach in the Orile-Agege area of the state.

He stated that they had gone out for an outreach programme with a church three weeks ago, and his wife had brought his son to him, after which he took him to a bus where other children were also staying.

He recounted that his son had been sick, and so he left him on the bus to go get a drink for him, adding that after giving him the drink, he had gone to the bus designated for the adults and they began the journey.

According to him, when they got to a stop, they were given powdered milk, and he had gone to the children’s bus to give it to his son, and that was when he realised his son was not on the bus.

He said he was told there was no Emmanuel in the bus after he had repeatedly called his name. When he inquired about his son’s whereabouts, he was told a woman was carrying some children onto another bus.

He stated that he was told to go back to the church and check for his son, but it was to no avail as his son was nowhere to be found.

He lamented that his wife has not been stable since the unfortunate incident, adding that she had just been discharged from the hospital.

He also disclosed that he has reported the matter to the police station.

Meanwhile, a police source who had prior knowledge of the incident confirmed that the child was missing and an investigation was on to find the missing boy.
