Lagos To Continue Remote Work As Sanwo-Olu Extends Policy

The Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has sworn in two new members into the executive cabinet, News About Nigeria reports.

Governor Sanwo-Olu inaugurated two new cabinet members: Abiodun Ogunleye as Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources and Olufemi Daramola as Special Adviser on Infrastructure.

The governor, who spoke during their inauguration ceremony at the Exco Chamber, Lagos House, Ikeja, charged the newly appointed cabinet members to start working immediately and take their responsibilities to an enviable height to meet the yearnings and expectations of Lagos residents.

Sanwo-Olu also expressed his confidence in the new cabinet members, noting that it was clear that they would add value to the state government as they were carefully chosen.

According to the governor, the state’s Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources is very important, as the government had earlier led a conversation for the actualisation of the unbundling of the sector for maximum productivity and results.

He further stated that, because of the ministry’s importance, his administration had to carefully select someone who they believed was fit for the job.

According to Sanwo-Olu, one of the major needs of Lagos residents is that every household has access to stable power, and his administration’s primary goal is to build the sector in line with the yearning and expectations of the people.

The governor therefore called on other commissioners in the state, as well as residents of Lagos, to partner with the newly inaugurated cabinet members to enable them to deliver on the job.
