FG Explains Samoa Agreement, Says It Will Benefit Nigeria

The Oba of Benin, Omo N’ Oba N’ Edo, Uku Akpolokpolo, Ewuare II, has called on Nigerians to partner with the administration of President Bola Tinubu in building the nation, News About Nigeria reports.

The Oba of Benin said this during a courtesy visit to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu at the Lagos House, Marina.

He also called on Nigerians to live in peace regardless of where they find themselves in Nigeria.

He said, “Diversity is good for Nigeria, so our people should iron out their differences and live as a family in peace, unity and harmony with one another. We are all one. I am for peace and tranquillity. We must live together as one. Nigeria is big. We must iron out our differences and learn to live together as one, big family.”

The monarch also charged Nigerians to move on from the battles emanating from the 2023 general elections and join hands with elected leaders across the country for development.

He also ascribed President Tinubu’s victory at the February 25 poll as divinely orchestrated.

This, according to him, is because God had ordained Tinubu to rule Nigerians, which is why he was eventually elected in the tightly contested 2023 presidential election.

While lauding the President for the impact he has made in Nigeria since he assumed office, the Oba of Benin also urged him to deliver on his Renewed Hope Mandate promised to Nigerians.

The monarch also congratulated the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on his reelection while praising his administration’s giant strides in Lagos. He charged him to continue the same in his second term in office.
