The Ogun State Government has expressed its unwavering commitment to eradicating land-grabbing activities and fostering a conducive environment for investors, News About Nigeria reports.
The government warned that anyone engaged in such acts would face legal consequences through the recently inaugurated task force dedicated to prosecuting land grabbers.
A statement released on Friday outlined the commitment of the Commissioner for Agriculture Development and Food Security, Bolu Owotomo, during his visit to the Oke-Odan Oil Palm Cluster and the palace of the Olowo of Owoland in Yewa South Local Government Area.
Commissioner Owotomo assured that the government would actively resolve communal issues related to acquired agricultural land.
He reiterated the determination of the present administration to provide a comfortable atmosphere for investors conducting business activities in the state.

Speaking on the need for land acquired for agricultural purposes to be utilised accordingly, Owotomo asked investors to collaborate within clusters for shared services.
He urged them to implement corporate social responsibility initiatives benefiting host communities and ensure prompt payment of ground rent.
The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Samuel Adeogun, encouraged investors to focus on services benefiting local communities and urged them to report any challenges with host communities promptly.
The Olowo of Owoland, Oke-Odan, Oba Abdul Mojeed Alao, expressed gratitude for the Commissioner’s visit, pledged unwavering support for the present administration, and requested excision for the village to prevent unnecessary disputes.
