Atiku Slams APC's Economic Policies, Congratulates Dangote

The Presidential Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, in the February 25th election, Atiku Abubakar, has congratulated Governor Diri Duoye of Bayelsa state on his re-election.

Atiku, in a post on his official X account, stated that the governor’s victory was well deserved.

The former vice president, who declared that the PDP candidate won the election regardless of how hotly contested it was, noted that his win shows that the people of the state are happy and satisfied with his performance as governor during his first term in office.

A part of his statement reads, “I heartily congratulate Your Excellency, Governor Duoye Diri of our great party, and Bayelsa on his hard-fought and well-won electoral victory against all odds. Your reelection reflects the confidence reposed in you by your people based on your performance in your first term.”

Atiku also lauded the people of the state for coming out in their numbers to vote for the PDP and their governor.

He further charged the governor to continue the good work of delivering on his promises, which he initiated during his first four years in office.
