Commissioner of Police, Johnson Adenola, has been appointed Principal Staff Officer (PSO) by the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, News About Nigeria reports.
According to report, his appointment is coming after the IGP’s former Principal Staff Officer, CP Tunji Disu, was deployed to Rivers State Command.
It was noted that Adenola, a dedicated and seasoned police officer, has been of immense assistance not only to the Nigerian Police Force (NPF) but also to international peacekeeping initiatives.
The newly appointed PSO, who is an alumnus of Jubril Martins Memorial Grammar School, had begun his educational journey at a tender age, shaping his path toward success.
He had gone ahead to acquire higher education at the Ogun State University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts (Hons.) degree in August 1988.
Adenola, displaying a penchant for continuous improvement, and personal and professional development, had gone on to acquire a Masters degree in Public Administration in 1992.
Adenola became an officer of the Nigerian Police Force in 1992, starting out as a Cadet Assistant Superintendent of Police, ASP, which was an indicator of his love for his country and a strong sense of duty.
Adenola, who started out as a Practical Attachment at the Owerri Divisional Headquarters in Imo State, has, in his long years of service, gained invaluable experience, honing his skills in law enforcement.
The newly appointed Principal Staff Officer has gone on to serve in various key positions, including the Criminal Investigation Department, Yaba, Lagos, where he served as the Officer–in–Charge, ‘X’ Squad, Lagos State Police Command Headquarters, Ikeja, Criminal Intelligence & Investigation Department in Kogi, Lokoja and also as Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of Discipline, Deputy Force Secretary, Nigeria Police Force Headquarters, Abuja among others
