Nigerian singer, Ọlawale Ọlọfọrọ, professionally known as Brymo, has accused Grammy-winning artiste Burna Boy of stealing his songs.

News About Nigeria reports that the ‘Ara’ crooner alleges that Burna Boy’s songs, ‘City Boys’ and ‘I Told Them’, have sampled his upcoming album’s title track, ‘Macabre’.

Brymo contends that this act amounts to a ‘crime’ and should result in legal consequences for the acclaimed musician.

Taking to his Instagram account, Brymo made his accusations clear, saying, “By the end of this year, y’all will recollect that ‘Macabre’ wasn’t released when in the public, and as privately as it gets… ‘City Boy’ and ‘I Told You’ were fed to Burna Boy…”

He emphasised the resemblance between the album’s title track and Burna Boy’s songs as undeniable evidence of intellectual theft.

“Burna na really boy… and that’s a crime… An actual crime… To do time for…”

He warns that consequences await those who engage in stolen artistry.

In addition to these allegations, Brymo claims that he was ambushed by ‘7 boys,’ an incident he suggests 2face corroborated.

He raises suspicions about Burna Boy’s song, ‘Big 7’, and a video of Davido with people who wore outfits with the number ‘7’ inscribed on it.

He insinuated that they were more than mere coincidences and somehow linked to the attack.

“2face tell me say the boys wey attack me na 7 boys… Burna get 7 for track title .:. And I don see Davido video with everybody wearing 7 in it … they are together .. and they have crossed me, and will forever regret it !!.”
