Some entertainers, including Bolanle Ninalowo, Kaffy, Nedu Wazobia (Chinedu Emmanuel), and Shade Ladipo, have shown their unwavering support for their colleague, Do2dtun, as he faces a challenging custody battle with his estranged wife.
News About Nigeria reports that the controversy ignited on October 11, 2023, as Do2dtun alleged that Taiwo had denied him access to their daughters and expressed his intent to counteract her actions.
He took to Instagram to vent his frustrations and once again targeted Taiwo’s brother, the singer D’banj, claiming that he played a role in obstructing his access to their children.
In response to these claims, Taiwo posted on her Instagram account, refuting Do2dtun’s allegations and saying that he knew the whereabouts of their children and had access to them.
In a subsequent Instagram post on Sunday, Taiwo disclosed that Do2dtun could indeed spend time with their children but insisted that he abstain from sharing videos of their interactions on social media.
Do2dtun, however, countered this claim, alleging that Taiwo had taken their children out of Nigeria.
He revealed that she had blocked him on all social media platforms, rendering it impossible for him to send her messages.
Drumming support for the media personality, Kaffy, a prominent dancer and choreographer, posted a message on Instagram on Sunday, expressing her empathy for Do2dtun.
She recalled how he supported her when she faced her marital crisis. Kaffy wrote, “Men do cry! This hurts! You were there for me immediately my news broke, and I remember many times you shared your pain. We all aren’t perfect; nevertheless, what is right must be done. No matter how we have failed, let’s not fail HUMANITY.”
Bolanle Ninalowo, who initially shared his support in a now-deleted post, highlighted the importance of allowing Do2dtun to have access to his children.
Nedu, a well-known comedian and media personality, stressed the significance of keeping children out of divorce battles. He emphasised that kids need both their fathers and mothers.
“Children must never be used as pawns. Kids need their dads as they do their mums. You are killing them emotionally if you deny them this right. Aunty T for their sakes let them see their dad,” he wrote.
Using the hashtag “I stand with Do2dtun,” Shade Ladipo voiced her support for Do2dtun while subtly implying that his story was consistent with what is known about D’banj.
