Nigerian musician Skales has called out the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for reportedly entering his residence in a rather aggressive manner, News About Nigeria gathered.
In a series of tweets on Tuesday morning, Skales said EFCC personnel arrived at his house with three armed men, as well as individuals brandishing sticks and hammers.
In the middle of the night, they allegedly forcibly entered his home by breaking through the back door.
Skales, who was in bed at the time alongside his six-month-old daughter, expressed his shock and fear over the intrusion, revealing that he even suffered a panic attack due to health issues.
He questioned the legality of such actions, asking, “Is this not a crime?”
The musician went on to deny any involvement in fraudulent activities and expressed his dismay at the manner in which EFCC officials conducted themselves.
Skales vented his anger towards the agency, stating that he does not have faith in the Nigerian justice system and said that EFCC operates at night, seemingly comparing their tactics to armed robbery.
Skales also accused EFCC of targeting young people and questioned their professionalism.
He emphasised his strong opposition to fraud and concluded by stating that he would continue to speak out against EFCC.

“My hate for @officialEFCC just began … why do you operate at night.. is armed robbery part of your job description because I need explanation… truth is who you wan report to Cz nothing works in this country ! They only know how to abuse power,” he tweeted.
