The video, which occurred during a live Instagram session, showed Burna Boy’s reaction as he learned of the rapper’s demise through the comments section.
The comments section of the live video was suddenly filled with news of Mohbad’s passing, causing confusion and concern on Burna Boy’s face.
Burna Boy turned to one of his friends who happened to be nearby and asked for clarification about why fans were discussing the death of someone referred to as ‘Imole’ and sought to understand who ‘Imole’ was.
It was then that his friend clarified that ‘Imole’ was a reference to Mohbad.
The singer, affectionately known as Imole, had made a significant impact on the Nigerian music scene with his remarkable talent and chart-topping songs.
According to a source within Mohbad’s team, he had sought medical attention at a hospital on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, to address an infection that had developed from an injury.
Tragically, while at the hospital, he received an injection and subsequently lost consciousness, never to regain it.
