Miss Nigeria International, Favour Maduka, has called on the Federal Government to increase its investment in the nation’s burgeoning entertainment industry, News About Nigeria gathered.

Maduka, who represented the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) in the 2022 Miss Nigeria International Pageant organised by Brendance and Crusaders Ltd., made this appeal during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos on Monday.

The 24-year-old beauty queen emphasised the immense potential of the entertainment sector in boosting the nation’s economy.

Maduka pointed out the vital role that entertainers play in projecting Nigeria’s image globally and attracting recognition and respect.

“I seriously project that the new government should really invest more in the entertainment industry, so far so good, the industry has projected Nigeria in high places.

“These entertainers have so much creative arms that they have sold our image positively with so much honour and recognition.

“They have also provided adequate services and support for brands, so it can further grow and elevate higher so as to keep making our country stand out internationally,” she said.

A graduate in Business Administration, Maduka shared her experiences and achievements during her reign as Miss Nigeria International.

She noted that her role allowed her to influence positive values and morals among her peers.

Maduka acknowledged facing challenges in obtaining approvals for her projects and offers but remained resilient, driven by her passion for her role as a beauty queen.

She expressed her determination to continue making a positive impact in her community and beyond through her foundation, ‘Favourflare’, which is focused on promoting love, charity, education, and natural awareness.

“My foundation is built on love, charity and educational promotions and to keep making the world a better place for children and adults, also, to keep encouraging everyone on natural awareness,” she explained.
