Ace Arise TV reporter Rufai Oseni has challenged former presidential spokesman Reno Omokri to back his wanton claims with evidence.
News About Nigeria reports that Mr Rufai who had been silent against a series of allegations made by Reno Omokri explained that he never said that he never subpoenaed Chicago State University, detailing that he only asked Omokri to present evidence that he visited the institution.
“All I asked was for you to give evidence of you visit to Chicago then you started a lying binge!” Mr Rufai wrote.
“I have kept quiet all this while but it is sad that these persists. You keep on telling people I should apologize to you despite the fact that you are blackmailing me. Anyway Michael Jackson from Ekpoma it’s best you stop this,” he added.
Recall that the ex-presidential spokesman had accused the ace reporter of falsely claiming to have found that President Bola Tinubu did not attend Chicago State University after subpoenaing the institution.
On his part, Reno Omokri claimed to have visited the institution where he found that Bola Tinubu attended the institution.
Omokri’s outburst was however reawakened after the institution agreed to release the academic records of President Bola Tinubu following a request by the Peoples Democratic Party presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar.
Mr Omokri alleged that Arise TV was being sponsored by the presidential candidate of Labour Party Peter Obi to distort public information in his favour.
Responding to the allegation, Peter Obi however debunked the rumours terming the allegations made by the former presidential spokesman as a distraction.
