Mark Vs Musk

Elon Musk recently announced on his X social media platform that the much-talked-about cage fight with Mark Zuckerberg is set to take place in Italy, News About Nigeria reports.

Although the showdown between the tech titans is yet to be officially confirmed, Musk mentioned that he had spoken to Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and the Minister of Culture, with both agreeing on an “epic location.”

While Musk initially expressed the idea of holding the fight in the historic Colosseum, Italian Culture Minister Gennaro Sangiuliano clarified that the match would not be held in Rome.

Sangiuliano confirmed that discussions with Musk were focused on organizing a significant charity event that would benefit two important Italian pediatric hospitals.

He emphasized that the event would also serve as an opportunity to promote Italy’s rich history, cultural heritage and art on a global scale.

Musk echoed this sentiment, stating that the event would pay respect to Italy’s past and present while raising funds for veterans.

The proposed cage match would be managed by foundations established by Musk and Zuckerberg, rather than being organized by the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship).

Despite this, UFC President Dana White expressed interest in being involved, predicting that the fight could generate a staggering $1 billion in revenue.

While the exact date for the event has not been mentioned, Musk acknowledged that he might undergo minor surgery to address a shoulder issue, with a quick recovery expected in a few months.

Although Musk has a titanium plate holding two vertebrae together, he clarified that it currently doesn’t pose an issue.

Zuckerberg, known for his interest in martial arts and jiujitsu competitions, has not yet provided a comment on the proposed cage fight.

The event, if it materializes, could be a high-profile clash that captures the attention of tech and combat sports enthusiasts alike.
