Nigerian street hip-hop artist, Portable, has sparked rumors of his marriage to actress Ashabi Simple, his newest partner and fourth baby mama.
News About Nigeria confirms that the speculation arose just a week after the 29-year-old singer celebrated the birth of their fifth child.
The couple took to social media to make a joint announcement about the arrival of their bundle of joy on Wednesday, May 7.
However, it was during their child’s christening and dedication ceremony on Tuesday that Portable hinted at their marital status, proudly declaring that he has transformed a “hard girl” into his housewife.
“Omo lile ti pada di iyawo’le”, he bragged to the newsmen present at the event.
In an interaction with journalists present at the ceremony, Ashabi expressed her surprise at marrying an entertainer, as it was not something she had planned for.
Nevertheless, she sees her union with Portable as a fresh start and a new chapter in her life.
“I didn’t plan to marry an actor or singer, but God didn’t say it is not the end of my journey, I can sense that it is not the end, a new beginning for me and happy because he is supportive and ready to be supportive,” her words.
