Nigerian Highlife and Afrobeat duo, Ajebo Hustlers, recently opened up about the challenges they faced early in their career and how they overcame them to achieve success in the music industry.

News About Nigeria confirms that the duo, consisting of singer Isaiah Precious, popularly known as “Piego,” and rapper George Dandeson, known as “Knowledge,” revealed that their friends had advised them to quit music due to the perceived lack of financial success.

In a candid conversation on the latest episode of the Afrobeats podcast hosted by Shopsydoo, Ajebo Hustlers shared their inspiring story of determination and resilience.

They recounted how their friends had discouraged them, believing that pursuing a career in music was futile since they were not earning a substantial income from it.

Undeterred by the naysayers, Ajebo Hustlers persevered and continued their pursuit of stardom.

They revealed that during their early struggles, they relied on the support and accommodation of various family members and friends who believed in their talent.

Notably, they mentioned that they were once housed by K-Switch, the younger brother of popular Nigerian singer D’banj.

They said; “We squatted with K-Switch in 2016. I’m no playing. 2017 nothing was popping. It was 2018, we were still trying to push and then we made a record in 2019 with King Perry. I think we were squatting somewhere then.

“That time we were squatting because music was not working and you now have friends that are telling you, omo, thus music is not working, you sure say you try enter street.”
