Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson Okojie has lost her father, Johnson Ametuo Daniel, News About Nigeria has learnt.
The popular actress shared the news on her Instagram account on Friday.
The mother of four posted a throwback birthday video of her father and wrote a heartfelt tribute to him.
In her post, the Kogi-born actress expressed her sadness and pain at losing her father.
The thespian said that she would continue to ask God why he had taken her father from her, and that she didn’t think she would ever understand.
She added that if God responded, she didn’t think she would accept it.
The actress went on to say that they say love saves, but her love did not keep her father with them.
She said that the great pain she felt now was the greatest pain of all.
She then ended her post by saying, “Rest In Peace my gentle father, NWO Johnson Ametuo Daniel. D.A Johnson, God clearly loves you more, that’s the only explanation that makes any sense to me.”
Mercy Johnson is a popular actress in the Nigerian film industry, known as Nollywood.
She has appeared in over 100 films and has won numerous awards for her acting.
She is also known for her philanthropic work, particularly in the areas of maternal and child health.
Johnson Ametuo Daniel was Mercy Johnson’s father and it is not clear how old he was at the time of his passing.
