The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced the dates for the 2023 Batch A Stream II online registration exercise.
The announcement was made on the Corps official Twitter page followed by News About Nigeria on Saturday
According to the scheme, registration will commence on Tuesday, April 11 and end on Monday, April 17, 2023.
Prospective corps members are expected to visit the NYSC registration portal to complete the online registration process.
The NYSC is a one-year mandatory program for all Nigerian graduates below the age of 30. The program was established in 1973 to foster unity and national integration among Nigerian youths from diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
As the NYSC marks its 50th year anniversary, the Minister for Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare, had earlier in March unveiled a 22-man Inter-Ministerial committee to oversee the anniversary celebration scheduled to hold in May.
The committee is expected to organize events and activities that will showcase the achievements of the scheme over the past 50 years, as well as highlight the role of the NYSC in promoting national unity and development.
Prospective corps members are advised to adhere to the registration guidelines and ensure that they complete the registration process within the stipulated time frame.
Successful candidates will be deployed to various parts of the country for the mandatory one-year service period.
