Governor Soludo Pays Anambra Workers, He Never Owes Salaries – Anambra Commissioner

Christian Udechukwu, the Anambra State Commissioner for Industry, has said that despite the current economic challenges bedevilling the nation, the state governor, Chukwuma Soludo, does not owe workers their salaries.

News About Nigeria reports that Udechukwu said this on Wednesday during an interview on the ‘Business Morning‘ segment of Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily show.

Speaking on the current economic challenges in the country, the commissioner stated that if Nigeria has a stable petrol supply, then there will be stable petrol prices and people won’t shut down the fuel stations, leading to high costs of transport and food supply.

He also disclosed that the Anambra government has provided primary and secondary free education, free mobility and safety movement for the people in the state.

He said, “The Governor of Anambra State, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, is people-focused and spends lots of time to relieve the pressure of the present economy off his people. In terms of what we are doing to ensure our youths grow, we have a one- to two-year program with over 5,000 youths benefiting and a token of N400,000 received each at the end of the skills acquisition.

“We have trained 20,000 youths under the Solution Innovation District, a partnership with Microsoft and other tech companies. All these are funded through product financial management… We are putting it back into the pocket of the people. The governor does not owe salaries and funds are set aside to support SMEs through partnership with the Bank of Industry.”

He, therefore, called on the people of Anambra State to continue to support Soludo in building the state.
