With a teeming rate of unemployment and over 3.54 million unemployed persons in Nigeria in 2024, Special Adviser to former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has penned down a list of jobs that can lead to the creation of wealth, News About Nigeria reports.
In a statement via his verified handle on X on Sunday, Omokri stated that the lack of right information is largely responsible for the lack of jobs.
He noted that there are over 30 businesses that can take people from poverty to a level of wealth with just a laptop, internet, and personal discipline.
He listed some of the businesses youths can engage in, including online music reviewers, Shopify merchandising, online market research via the Field Agent app, Twitch streamers, online stock trading, transcribing online with Scribie, gig working on Fiverr, CV/resume writing, virtual assistants with the Fancy Hands app, reviewing brands with Crowd Tap, online tutoring, reviewing commercials and fashion on Slice the Pie, online research with Clickworker, and an audiobook narrator, amongst many others.
He urged the youths not to use the Internet for just surfing and to start applying the right information, in order to start making money, adding that information is power, and when such information is applied properly, it leads to the creation of wealth.
He wrote, “Information is power; applied information is money.
“Stop only surfing the Internet and start earning from the Internet because every penny you make outside your job makes you less dependent on that job, thus increasing your happiness level.”
