Ex-Senator Abbo Dismisses Sex Video Claims As 'Blackmail'

Former Adamawa North Senator Ishaku Abbo has found himself at the centre of another controversy following the circulation of a viral video allegedly implicating him in a sexual scandal.

The video, which surfaced online last week, reportedly shows a light-skinned man engaged in sexual activity with a woman rumoured to be married.

News About Nigeria reports that although no concrete evidence has been provided to confirm the man’s identity, many have speculated that it is Senator Abbo in the video.

In response to the latest scandal, Senator Abbo held a press conference where he vehemently denied any involvement in the video.

Abbo stated, “How can you identify a person without seeing his face, his body, or only parts of his legs? and you said it is Senator Abbo. Blackmail cannot stop me from winning elections.”

Abbo further claimed that this was a deliberate attempt to tarnish his reputation and pledged to take legal action against those responsible for distributing the video.

He expressed confidence that his supporters would continue to back him due to his performance in the Senate, dismissing the scandal as a politically motivated attempt to undermine his career.

Abbo has faced legal consequences before.

This incident adds to Abbo’s controversial history, which includes a widely publicised 2019 incident where he was caught on camera assaulting a nursing mother in a sex toy shop in Abuja.

The incident that occurred on May 11, 2019, was caught on camera, showing Abbo slapping a woman identified as Osimibibra Warmate, pregnant at the time, across the face.

The 2019 incident involved an altercation that escalated after Abbo accused the shop owner of poisoning the air conditioning, causing one of his companions to vomit.
