A leaked audio clip circulating on social media captures the moment when Isreal DMW, a close aide to singer Davido, apologised to Sophia Momodu, the mother of Davido’s daughter, Imade.
In the audio, Sophia confronts Isreal over disparaging comments he made about her on social media.
The confrontation comes amid an ongoing custody battle between Sophia and Davido, where Sophia has refused joint custody of their daughter, citing six reasons to back up her claims.
Isreal DMW had previously criticised Sophia on Instagram, accusing her of being a gold digger for her past relationship with Davido.
He also condemned her for sharing private conversations with Davido publicly.
Isreal’s post read, “Any woman who intentionally keeps sleeping with a very rich young boy, who she’s far older than, to the extent of getting pregnant and giving birth, is a gold digger. Such a lady has no single shame at all.”
During the phone call, however, Isreal was heard apologising to Sophia.
Sophia rejected Isreal’s claim that Davido has supported Imade financially for the past three years, saying that he has only spent on his crew.

News About Nigeria reported that Davido filed a motion for joint custody or unrestricted access to Imade, detailing his efforts to provide for his daughter and lamenting Sophia’s refusal to grant him access.
Sophia, in her counter-affidavit, argues that Imade is too young to be in Davido’s custody due to his “controversial lifestyle”, frequent travel, and marriage to another woman.
She expressed concerns about the environment Imade would be exposed to, citing the tragic loss of Davido’s son in his home.
