We Will Not Be Intimidated – Yoruba Group Tells Ondo Govt

A group, known as the Yoruba Nation Youths both Home and Diaspora, has stated that they will not be intimidated into silence, News About Nigeria reports.

The leader of the group, Prophet Ayodele Ologunloluwa, disclosed this in a statement, noting that no one and nothing can come between them and the actualisation of having sovereignty as a nation.

Recall that the Ondo State government had promised severe punishment to anyone who brews trouble in the state under the guise of agitating for Yoruba nation, adding that it would go against anybody who worked against Nigeria.

Reacting to this, Ologunloluwa stated that the group has no plans of making trouble as they are not troublemakers but are only agitating for the actualisation of Yoruba Sovereign State.

He noted that the actualisation of the Yoruba Sovereign State have been long overdue and their independence will surely come to pass.

“We are following the footsteps of our leader, Emeritus Professor Banji Akintoye, Chief Sunday Adeyemo Igboho Oosha, and our Youth Leader, Prophet Ayodele Ologunloluwa.

“We are for peace to get our Nation. What we want is Yoruba Nation, we want to be free from slavery because what God has given us on our land is enough to feed us,” he stated.

He, however, lamented that the state government has misunderstood and misconstrued the intention of the group despite their objectives and consistent peaceful campaigns, adding that it is unfair that they are being tagged as terrorists.

“We are law abiding citizen, we have never engaged in any violent since we started and we will not . All the games our governors are playing should stop henceforth,” he stated.
