Bobrisky Not Transgender, His Male Features Are Intact - Ikoyi Correctional Centre

As against claims by Nigerian controversial crossdresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, that he has surgically changed his private organs from those of a man to those of a woman, an official of the Ikoyi Custodial Centre has revealed that the crossdresser’s male organs are still intact.

The top official, who requested anonymity, claimed that appropriate examinations were done on Bobrisky prior to his admission into the prison institution to serve his six-month sentence for abusing Naira.

He further noted that, upon examination, they discovered that Bobrisky is a man who still has all his male characteristics intact without any feminine organs.

The official also noted that Bobrisky has been abiding by the rules and guidelines set for inmates in the correctional centre and is not enjoying any special treatment or privilege because of his class in society.

He said, “Every inmate brought into a facility during admission is examined. He was equally examined and no realignment of gender or genital organ was discovered. The male biological features were the same. After that, a cell was allocated to him, and he had a certain number of inmates with him. A bed space was also allotted to him. It is just like a boarding house, where your housemaster will issue you your personal belongings.

“When it is time for class, he attends. When it is time for food, he will go and get his portion. The same goes with prep and light-out. He observes all these without preference. He has been going about his business just like other inmates since he was brought in here. He is not getting any five-star treatment and is not being protected from anybody. He follows the same rules and regulations as every other inmate. Single cells or isolation cells are to prevent outbreaks of communicable diseases.”

The official further noted that Bobrisky is safe and not being protected from any abuse from any inmate, as homosexuality is a big offence in the correctional centre and the inmates are fully aware of the gravity of such a crime.

News About Nigeria reported that Bobrisky, who pleaded guilty for the offence of abuse of Naira, had also told the court that he was a man, not a woman.

The controversial crossdresser announced last year that he had acquired female genitals.

He also claimed that, even before undergoing surgery for breast development, he had already cut off his male organs.

Bobrisky demanded to be addressed as a woman, adding that he was fully transgender and not just a crossdresser.
