The Dangote Petroleum Refinery is poised to revolutionize Nigeria’s oil industry as it prepares to commence the sale of Automotive Gas Oil (diesel) today.

According to Alhaji Abubakar Maigandi, the National President of the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN), the refinery has established a minimum purchase volume of one million litres for marketers.

He expressed strong indications that the refinery would kickstart the sales on Tuesday, News About Nigeria has learnt.

However, Anthony Chiejina, the Chief Communications Officer of the Dangote Group, requested further communication through text message, yet to provide a response at the time of publication.

This move by the Dangote Refinery signifies a significant milestone in Nigeria’s energy sector, potentially altering the dynamics of diesel distribution and availability across the country.

As the refinery prepares to launch its diesel sales, industry stakeholders anticipate how this development will impact the market and the broader economy in the coming days.
