Nigeria On The Path To Sustained Growth - Shettima

Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, has assured Nigerians that the country is on the path to sustained growth, News About Nigeria reports.

He stated this while speaking at the Iftar, which is the fast-breaking evening meal for Muslims during Ramadan, organised by President Tinubu for members of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) and services chiefs, on Tuesday.

He noted that the period of economic hardship faced by Nigerians is currently coming to an end, stating that in the coming months the nation will reap bountiful harvests.

According to him, President Bola Tinubu means well for the nation and has a good heart for the nation. He called on the people to support him in whatever way they could in order to salvage the ship of the state.

“Honourable ministers, service chiefs, distinguished ladies and gentlemen, we have crossed the Rubicon, and the nation is on the path to sustained growth. Some nations have gone through some worse phases in the annals of their history than us.

“The President means well for the nation; he has a good heart for the nation, and we have the moral imperative to support him in whatever way we can to salvage the ship of the state.

“He doesn’t subscribe to the idea of apportioning blame; the bulk stops on his desk, and he has not shied away from facing some gargantuan challenges facing us. Be rest assured that, in the fullness of time, posterity will be very kind to him,” he said.

He further urged the leaders to rally around President Bola Tinubu, maintaining that leadership requires sacrifice, tenacity of purpose, and commitment.
