Benue PDP Welcomes Landmark Judgment, Calls For Dissolution Of Caretaker Committees

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Anambra State has announced that it has bounced back and is ready to contest for power and win in the state again, News About Nigeria reports.

A member of the Board of Trustees of the party, Chief Ugochukwu Okeke, said this while speaking to newsmen in Enugu.

He noted that the good old days of the party would return, assuring its members that the party would reclaim Anambra State in 2025.

“Anambra State is a major stronghold of PDP. The tactics of opposing parties had been to first instigate division within PDP and subsequently use PDP structure to defeat PDP in the election. But that is a thing of the past now. Our major stakeholders have basically agreed that there’s need to maintain peace within the party for successes to be recorded and we are working together in the overall interest of the party and Ndi Anambra,” he stated.

He further commended the national leadership of the party for its decision to introduce new faces that are young and vibrant to lead the party in the state.

“You can see what is happening in Anambra today. The remodelling of PDP is on course and the narrative is changing. The determination of the new state chairman and his team to incubate a positive change, bringing something new to the electorate, is glaring. The zeal is infectious, and I can tell you that the PDP is back on the frontline of Anambra politics.

“I believe that the new state chairman and his team will continue to enjoy the support of critical stakeholders as long as the current momentum is maintained,” he added.
