In the face of the recent hardship Nigerians are going through, President Bola Tinubu has sent an inspirational message to Nigerian Youths to not give up but be relentless in their pursuits, News About Nigeria reports.

According to the president, giving up should never be an option for the Nigerian Youths as they too can become the heroes of tomorrow.

In a statement shared on his official X account on Monday, the President also restated his administration’s commitment to ensuring that the dreams of young people in Nigeria are fulfilled.

He further charged them to continue to shine their lights and represent Nigeria well in any sphere of influence that they are in.

The post reads, “Dear Nigerian Youth, Do not relent in your pursuit. You too can be our heroes of tomorrow. To our cherished Nigerian youths showcasing their talents in communities across the country, playing football on their local grounds, you too can be our heroes tomorrow. Don’t relent in your pursuit. My administration is committed to making dreams come true.”

REACTIONS

The inspirational message by the President has been sparking various reactions on X where it was shared.

An X user, @jude_ukaigwe in response to Tinubu’s admonition chided him for being inconsiderate, adding that, he squanders the nation’s money only to write motivational quotes for the suffering masses.

His post reads, “Dear City Boy, we do not want motivational speech, we are tired of words. The people are suffering, a bag of rice is now 80k, fuel is over 700 and naira is almost 1500/$.

“You spend all money on frivolous things, the National Assembly take home salary is over 30 million monthly. We can’t keep living on motivations, our people need actual economic prosperity. Get useful sir make God no go punish you.”

Also, another X user, Immanuel_tech also slammed President Tinubu for calling the youths the leaders of tomorrow, noting that Tinubu has been in leadership and politics all his life and has no plan of leaving, so, how can young people become leaders.
