Gbajabiamila Donates 484-Bed Hostel Facility To UNILAG

The Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, has donated a 484-bed hostel facility to the University of Lagos State (UNILAG), News About Nigeria reports.

According to a series of tweets shared on the institution’s official X account, the Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Abbas Tajudeen, unveiled the 484-bed hall of residence on Wednesday, which was donated by Tinubu’s Chief of Staff to Unilag.

The Speaker of the House, during the unveiling, commended Gbajabiamila for investing in his alma mater and for his style of leadership, which is always in the interest of the people.

In the post shared on the school’s X handle, it stated that the hostel is a contribution by the Chief of Staff to the physical infrastructure development of the school which is his alma mater.

The post partly reads, “The Femi Gbajabiamila Hall of Residence at #UnilagNigeria will be officially commissioned today. The 484-bed hostel facility is the landmark contribution of the Chief of Staff to the President, #femigbaja, to the physical infrastructure development of his Alma Mater.”

During the unveiling of the hostel, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Lagos, Prof. Folasade Ogunsola, appreciated Gbajabiamila for his generosity and his contribution towards the growth of the school.

She further stated that the Chief of Staff is a visionary leader who has the interests of the future generation at heart.

While giving his remarks during the event, Gbajabiamila lauded the immediate past VC of the institution, Prof. Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, for suggesting the hostel as a project idea to him.

He also appreciated the current VC for continuing on the good foundation laid by her predecessor.
